EPS insulation is an inert, organic material produced from petroleum and natural gas by-products. EPS provides no nutritive value to plants, animals or micro-organisms. Rats, mice, termites, or other pests will not be able to infest a structure that is constructed using a 3D-EPS system.

EPS will not rot or dissolve/deform over time, and is highly resistant to mildew. When properly encased, a 3D-EPS panel is highly resistant to moisture absorption.
